Something new!

A brand new year and a brand new challenge over at Scrap the boys. This month the aim is to scrap something new. My youngest is to start school this year so that is definitely a new chapter in his life.
I'm trying to use up lots of my stash so there are bits and bobs from everywhere on this one.

My fav is that flair from Greatest View!

I hope you get a chance to play along there are some cool prizes to win!

The next bit....

So I have one page to finish off my Heidi Swapp December photo hunt/Memory file...and it's getting very thick but I thought I would share it with you now before Christmas day. As I mentioned in my first instalment here I used the Believe Memory File Album to record my journey and these are some of my favourite pages..

I have used the next set of Free  countdown cards available here on Heidi's blog.

Merry Christmas to everyone, have a fabulous day with your friends and families.

My Sunshine

I've had these papers from Glitz Designs sitting in my stash for a while now and when I found this photo on my camera of my son at the beach I knew they were perfect .

I added in the Sunshine flair from Greatest View.

...and created a shaker element with a transparency.

25 Days...

Have you been following along with the Heidi Swapp  scavenger hunt on instagram ? We have been having fun each day searching for items for each clue. I have been using the Believe Memory File Album to record my journey once my photos have been posted to instagram.

For my cover I wanted it quick and simple, I used some paper from the Believe collection, some vellum and I cut the deer head from glitter cardstock.

I spritzed the Color magic letters in Gold Lame Colorshine and then added some glitter glue over the top for some extra sparkle.

Each Day there is a clue posted on Heidi's blog and I have created a page for each.
Heidi also created some free downloadable 3x4 cards to use as a countdown , you can find them here.

The clever Maggie Massey also created the 1inch round circles here that fit perfectly in the Epiphany Crafts round 25 tool, I used these to create my dome accents on my pages.

Most of my pattern papers and embellishments are from the Believe collection.

I am  not afraid to move away from the traditional red and green colours to suit my photos!

Even hot pink and gold make it into my album.

My favourite page so far.

 This page opens up...

So that's is for now. I am on track at the moment, I hope I can keep it up as the month progresses.
Its not too late to join in the fun, If you want to play along remember the all important hashtag is #heidiholidayfotofind

The deer....

I have finally found the time to create some Christmas cards. This one uses the Believe collection from Heidi Swapp. I cut the deer head on my cameo with some glitter cardstock.

I tangled some gold thread and layered it under my deer.

The Santa photo album

This week over on the Heidi Swapp blog we are celebrating the Season with handmade gift items. I decided to create this handmade mini for my dad filled with the Santa photos from each year since my boys were born.
It's fun to look back and see their growth but also see if they were brave enough to be on Santa 's lap that year!

I used one of the Heidi Swapp wooden albums and elements from the Believe collection to create my album.

I used a clear sheet to hold my vellum Santa and Joy to the Word embellishments.

I misted a chipboard album with Chartreuse Colorshine.

I used my Epiphany Crafts tool to make my epoxy embellishments.

You can see a certain someone was missing from the photo this year.

I think this is my favourite photo, my youngest had just turned 1 and clearly did not want to be there!

Layers of vellum Ephemera.
