not my baby anymore

The day I took this photo of larsen , I realised he was not my baby any more...was kinda sad at the time , but when I watch him have fun , play (and fight) with Addison I know that growing up is part of life and the two of them will grow together, learn from each other and be the best of mates....

Do you spy that cute little apple button, doily and vintage label from little red rocket, so cute....I have also used this layout as part of this months Scrap the boys...we had to use metal on our layout..I have used an old old old ..ancient almost, making memories metal word and some metal brads...Lil red rocket is sponsoring Scrap the boys this month, so why don't you have a go too...

These layouts have been up on the Scrapware blog recently, this one was for a boys theme. I randomly embossed the rocket with red embossing powder and used a pearl flourish for the flames....and some more gorgeous hambly paper too. Yep Addison has been hijacked by the toy story craze too!

Barba is the name Larsen calls my dad...I love to hear him call dad this

thanks for stopping by...
PS Lilredrocket has opened up again so if you are looking for some fun, unusual embellies for your scrapping be sure to check out Shell's store...
PPS my good scrapping buddy Lydia is having an awesome give away on her blog, drop by and say hi and tell her I said hello and see how you can win...

so sweet...

Addison has a little soft spot for one of the little girls at playgroup, out of all the boisterous boys there he loves playing with Milla, it is so sweet to see this little friendship bloom.

I have been busy with some gorgeous goodies from Lilredrocket
This gorgeous handmade flower made by Shell, that cute little doily and the vintage playing card

And do you spy the October Afternoon seaside paper.....I have been waiting for so long for that too, of course there is a lovely Scrapware chippie which I have left raw for a bit of shabbiness as well.

This layout was one of 6 and a half I got done at my crop...I even out did my prediction.....

sharing..

Morning everyone today I have a few shares for you. Firstly another Cyber Crop Layout from Scrapawhile's CC last Thursday, this was my product challenge...lots of Hambly and Scrapware goodness here... This month from HandmadebySuzanne I got sent some great Basic Grey and Kaiser Craft goodness. I haven't used Basic Grey in a while so it was a bit of a challenge for me. I pulled out some old holiday photos that I thought suited the papers well.

And...I am soooo not a card maker so I find these a bit of a challenge but I came up with these two, if you head on over to the store Suzanne has lots of new release CHA goodies in stock right now.
Well I am off to a 12 hour crop , I have grand plans for 6 layouts...let s see how I do!

Springtime...and some exciting Scrappy news

We have just hit Spring here in Australia and on the first day of Spring Taryn and I took the boys for a play at the park, it was a glorious warm sunny day. I snapped this photo of Larsen while Taryn was pushing him on the swing... while he was watching intensely what his big brother Addison was doing.
I have used this layout for Kylie's Spring theme for the Sept 15th challenge over at Scrapawhile...it would be wonderful if you could join in the fun.
I have used some more gorgeous Hambly papers and surprise surprise have done some embossing on my chipboard..Thankyou to Taryn for the great instructions...I think I may have enjoyed it too LOL.
BTW I got that fabulous tag idea from the ever fabulous Keisha Campbell.

Why don't you join us over at Scrapawhile on Thursday night for our next Cyber Crop...no theme just some great challenges and fun chatting.
Finally I am over the moon to be joining lots of other fabulous ladies on the DT over at Creative Scrappers...So excited to be chosen from over 200 applications I so can't wait to start!

Till next time...

bubbalicious...

I have joined in the fun again this month over at Scrap the boys. We had to scrap about a nick name for one of our boys and explain how they came to get the name. Larsen from birth has been Bubbalicious...the midwife at the hospital called him this and it just stuck. I have used another cute froggie button from Lilredrocket buttons and more yummy Hambly papers.Till next time...

I can't stop playing...

with my Hambly goodies...they are just so fabulous and different from my usual bright happy style of pattern paper. I am really enjoying the change too.......now to start experimenting with inks and embossing...to those who know me they know I am so not into experimention, but I am trying, I get enthused when I see all the gorgeous creations when I go blog hopping.

I have used a Hambly screenprint and cut a square from their kraft paper and then machine stitched it to the screenprint...and those cute little star buttons are from scrapware.

I have based this layout on a sketch from Creative Scrappers.

the fringe..

I am still so not ready to have Larsen's curls cut off so I compromised and had his fringe cut instead....He sat quietly on my lap watching intently as the hairdresser cut it.....Well can he look any cuter??? I think not!
I have used that fun Scrapware birdcage and sun, and those fabulously fun buttons Shell has just released from Littleredrocket, a street sign and one from the apple pack, that little paper doily is also from Lilredrocket too.
Do yo spy those cute litle birdies, they are kraft stickers from Hambly...so so so cute!

My boys...

Hey everyone today I have some layouts featuring ALL of my boys...
This first one is the September challenge at Scrapawhile, Tarrah asked us to use a collage of photos of fathers and sons as inspiration and I came up with this...perfect for fathers day which is on Sunday here in Australia....I have inked some fun frames from Scrapware and layered over an itty bitty birdie from MylittlebitofWhimsy , and do you spy that cloud rubon behind the chippie cloud..a new rubon from hambly.

This month I was also featured in the pagemaps newsletter for September... it was actually an 8 and a half by 11 sketch but I have added it onto a cardstock background to make it 12 x 12.
